I loved the answer to the person who asked if the pastor was in 😆, and I do imagine having this piece of "uniform" does require some extra thought and intentionality regarding when you wear it. I recently participated in both Ecumenical Advocacy Days and the Lutheran Lobby Day in CA and both times the organizers asked clergy to make sure to wear their collars during visits with legislative staff. It definitely gives a different weight to what you say in those situations.
Dear Elizabeth, your openness and honesty I find profound, refreshing and appreciated! On those occasions you prefer anonymity, to true Christians, as you stated your unique fashion style is a dead giveaway! Those christians I suppose are respecting the space you desire at that time. You are a true jewel to your calling and we are the benefactors. Thank God for you ❤🌞
