Reading thru your reflection I'm struck that while the arc of transition moves us ahead, there are specific points of moving forward, backward, sideways, and pause during a transition. I need to remember that instead of stubbornly pushing full steam ahead at all times. Thank you.
Just sent you an email - to the office - which of course bounced back. This post was really powerful, and blew me away because I didn't know what was going on with you right now and what HAS been going on. Know that as we move into the Triduum I am praying for you - and asking the Pneuma to breathe IN you and FOR you. Love and light to you.
I just logged on to the office email to read what you sent. I can't thank you enough. I will eternally be grateful for the opportunity you gave me to preach for the very first time. And Gary and I often remark about how what you taught me--"make sure that every sermon includes God, the people, and the preacher"--has been the most formative advice ever.
I’m just catching up on this now. Hope you had a lovely and replenishing Tridium. FYI I discovered a reading tracker/book discovery app that is Black-owned and a refreshing alternative to the Amazon-owned Goodreads, if you are interested. It’s called The StoryGraph. I think it even has a GR import option.
Thanks for your raw honesty. Transitional times, indeed. I’ll be at your book launch since by then, I’ll be local. Hugs to you, Elizabeth!
So excited that you will be local by then!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, treasured friend.

Thanks for the reminder of this season being transitional in so many ways. And yes, thanks for your honesty/transparency--such a precious gift!
